For the second time, we joined thousands in the yearly commemoration of the Traslacion (this is neither the feast of the Black Nazarene, which falls on Good Friday, nor of the Quiapo Church, which honors John the Baptist, its patron saint, in June). The Traslacion re-enacts the transfer of the image of the Black Nazarene (which originated from Mexico) from the Agustinian parish in Intramuros, Manila, to Quiapo.

At 5:50 AM, 9 January 2014, thousands of believers were gathered in front of the Quirino Grandstand, Luneta, for the 6:00 AM Mass.
